I heart 시장 국수 ( Guk-Su) !! Yummy ~
Written at Tuesday, 12 October 2010 | back to top

Guksu!!! I didn't really like this Korean noodle called Guksu when I first came to Korea. When I lived in our University Dormitory, they always give Guksu on every Saturday or Sunday. It was my worst lunch ever on every Weekend. I couldn't imagine that I'll enjoy eating guksu ~~~~~~ :'(

But now I love Guk-su !! haha. :D
After I tried guk-su in the market and some restaurant. I found out that the reason that made me hate guk-su were the cafeteria cooks !!! haha :D sorry.

I also love eating chili with Doenjang while eating Guksu . :D
I think I became a real Korea after i lived in Kora for more than 3 years.
I love Korean Foods and Guk-Su is also one of my favorite ones!!

I visited to the King Taejo in South Korea ^^
Written at Thursday, 23 September 2010 | back to top

September 16, 2010 ! I visited to the King Taejo on that day. I met King Taejo, the founding king of Joseon. The King Taejo who founded the Gyeonbok Palace was also the founder of the Joseon Dynasty and he first invented the sun dial for Korea.

Me and some of the students from WSK(World Students in Korea) went the one-day cultural trip hosted by the Korean cultural Heritage Foundation. This cultural trip program is also know as "2010 World Heritage Visiting Program, vistis to the kings ". We went to the Gyeongbokgun ( Gyeonbok Palace ), Geonwolleung ( the royal tomb of the king Taejo ) and the B-Boy concert.

The first place we visited was "Gyeonbokgun".
I've been to Gyeonbok palace for 3 times before but this time was the best time I ever had in the Gyeonbok palace. Gyeonbokgun is the founded on the same time when Joseon Dynasty was founded and yet Gyeonbokgun was the biggest Palace on that day according to its area, the amounts of the sculptures.

I was really impressed by the amazing beauty of Gyeonbok Palace which is really different from our country royal palaces in Myanmar. I could feel and experience the new architectural culture and the story of the kings. That made me feel that I had the best time in the Gyeonbok Palace.

Me and my bff went to the MBC Theme Park ( DaeJangGeum Theme Park ) last year.
I guess everyone knows about the drama DaeJangGeum ( A Jewel in the Palace ) as it is one of the most famous Korean dramas.
There was a heavy snowfall in Seoul on that day... but we didnt give up on our plan to go there .
sooo we took a sub way to get there . It was kinda far but we could get there easily by subway. great isnt ? cheap and easy :)
I really love travelling around by using a map and find out what you have to take where you have to go by yourself.
And it's really easy to do it in Korea, the transportation is perfect and not expensive.

It was my very first time to see that big snow and my very first time to be out at heavy snowy day.

I love that place and would like to go to there on spring & fall...

I guess that'd be really beautiful on that seasons !

Written at Sunday, 22 August 2010 | back to top

Hey guys, I wanna tell you about my new favorite place to visit in Korea.

Guess where would it be ??

"UlleungDo Island"! Yes, this island is my new favorite place to visit in Korea.

I fall in love with that island on this summer vacation.

OMG! UlleungDo ? This island is amazing. Really beautiful place with Nature, Rocks, Ocean, Beach and yeahhhh delicious squidsssss haha.

see~ this is amazing ! isn't ???

This is just the sample picture. If you see the other pictures of UlleungDo Island, I'm sure that you'll be impressed. My pictures are not taken with the good professional camera though.

Ok ! Anyways~ I'd like to share some pictures and stories about UlleungDo Island.

I spent only 2 days there :'( bcos we had some schedules to do on the other day.

hmm... 1st we went to see the famous waterfall named "Bongnae Waterfall",the only source of drinking water on the island, after we had our lunch.

This is the Bongnae Waterfall.

Beautiful. Isn't ?

our group

and...

the lunch we had,

erm.. I think I'd better just upload some pictures instead of writing a long paragraph haha. That'd be more interesting to see I guess.

Here are some pictures of UlleungDo Island.

fun on the beach at night ^0^
Written at Thursday, 15 July 2010 | back to top

Me and my 2 friends went to Busan last 2 days ago... It was my 2nd time to go to Busan for year 2010 ^^.
Busan is my all time favorite city to visit in Korea.

We arrived busan station around 10:50pm and we went directly to the "Hae-eun-Dae Beach" the most famous beach in Korea.

There were lots of couples and groups drinking on the beach although it was quite late.

Korean people like to drink soju and Makkolli( the Korean traditional drink, my favorite one),play some fun games and chit chat on the beach at night.

This is one of their cultural things to do in Summer.

I think this is really fun. Hanging out with you friends on the beach at night and drinking woooo... that's really cool ^^; but i couldn't drink this time, we did it last time kkkk.

You should try it if you have a chance to come Korea or if you got to go Busan in Summer with your friends. That's really cool ~

Hint : ^0^ It was Gwangalli Beach in the photos,

Gwangalli Beach is famous with it's night view, fantastic lights and gorgeous bridge.
You can also visit gwangalli museum and some other fun stuffs there.

Membership Training ? fun fun fun ~^0^;
Written at Thursday, 8 July 2010 | back to top

MT ????? well... they call it MT ( Membership Training ), it's one of the Korean collage tradition~

I was really curious about MT before I entered a collage, while i was taking Korean language course. Some seniors said MT is all about "Drinking SOJU" for 2/3 days. wooo ~
I was really shocked when they told me that O_O; and I had a bad impression about the MT ............so when I entered a collage ... i felt like I will never go M.T with them, I don't wanna drink a lot , blah blah blah.... but !!! on the other hand , I was still curious about the M.T, wanted to know what they do... :P

Now, I've been M.T with my seniors and juniors for tow times.
Almost all students from our department and most professors joined the M.T.
I had a very good time during the M.T.
We had timetable, like we need to wake up around 8am, we'll be divided by groups, we'll play games, competitions, talent shows, fashion show by guys , and so on ..
My favorites are " Camp Fire" and "Talent Show" :)

I wasn't really close with my classmates that time but they took care about me and helped me not to be bored and feel lonely . I had a chance to make more friends and get closer with my classmates during the M.T.

I think MT is really a great opportunity to make more friends and get closer with your seniors, juniors and professors.

I would never forget those memories with my seniors and juniors....
Thank you all for giving me those precious time in Korea :)
